In Bulgaria, hate speech has been on the rise, especially towards Roma, LGBTI+ people, and refugees.
This work was created during the FineActs creative bootcamp against hate speech. After the brief the participants have only 48 to develop and produce a visual artwork. The project was done entirely from polymer clay and then photographed.
Atanas Giew is a graphic artist, typographer and a motion designer, based in Sofia. He was 15 years old when he started working in a local print house.
He has a BA in Poster and Visual communication-from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, and spent a year at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
His work has appeared in Slanted magazine, Communication Arts, Typism, and more. He received a 2019 CA award in typography in the Poster category. Currently, he is working as a motion designer at FourPlus Studio.
