Drink and Draw is a series of events, with a focus on the study of the human body and methods of portraying it. Every session followed a certain task and restriction, that aimed to the development of drawing and perception of the human body skill. The event was dedicated to all interested in drawings.
Aliona is a multidisciplinary designer, based in the Netherlands. She studied traditional graphics in Chisinau, and now she is doing her second degree in graphic design at the Royal Academy of Arts in Den Haag.
Her works oscillate between several media, illustration, animation, sometimes sound, 3d, and interactive media, as an artistic form. In her works, she used to research the mental health subject related to daily life, the impact of media on our personality, and the way of dealing with it. From 2016, together with her colleague Anna Vasina, initiated AA+, an initiative that contributes to graphic design culture in Chisinau. Also, she used to work with non-governmental, cultural organizations and festivals, such as Akzente, Teatrul Tineretului Piatra-Neamț, Anim’est. Her works were exhibited at UNMUTED group show, Het Hem, Amsterdam; PDP Conference, Poster exhibition, Novi Sad, Serbia; Poster X Poem, Chișinău, Moldova; Sounds like a book- artist’s book exhibition, Romania; Amural, România; Postreal- contemporary art exhibition, Moldova, etc.
